Church Cadets 'The Prime Suspect'

Hi everyone, sorry we've had trouble with the blog, it's sorted now;

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, this week is to find out some things about the person who started the whole 'church' thing off..........J.C. (Jesus Christ) you'll find the Bible a good resource for this.....

You can Email me your findings at my personal address jerry@bikerdudes.co.uk

Booked !

Four people wrote the story of Jesus life, who were they? and what do we call their books?

Jesus was referred to in many ways in the book (son of man etc.) have a look through one of the stories and give me five, five names for Jesus that is!

Jesus taught using stories that had a hidden meaning, what were they called? how many were there in the gospel of Mark?

The Beatitudes are Jesus most famous teaching in what Chapter of Matthew will you find them?

What does John 3, 16 say?

Spotted!

Have a look at some pictures of Jesus on the internet, cut and paste me your favourites and tell me why it's your fave.

Three major events happened in Jesus life, his birth, his death and his resurrection. We know theses things happened because there were witnesses. Name witnesses who were there for his birth, death and resurrection.

Prayer;

Try and find a quiet place at some time each day and say this prayer, it is Jesus special prayer, you may know it but many people have forgotten it, here it is;

Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
In earth as it is in heaven,
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory, for ever and ever, Amen.

Dear Jerry

Thank you very much for the way you conducted the Baptism of our son William on 15th June at St.Margaret's. It was Father's Day and your story about Superman alone had everyone listening intently to your every word, even the self-confessed heathen amongst our friends !

You have left us with some special memories - thank you again

Best of luck with the Church renovations and with your work. We will see you next time we are up in Altrincham

Best wishes

Paul, Anna and William Nichols
